2103. SEC. Secretary of Veterans Affairs report on implementing recommendations of Inspector General of Department of Veterans Affairs in certain report on denied posttraumatic stress disorder claims related to military sexual trauma. (D) Each session shall provide a diverse clinical observation experience. 1018. (2) NEW EMPLOYEES.âThe Secretary shall require each employee hired by the Department on or after the date of the enactment of this Act who is to be involved in the scheduling of appointments for health care from the Department or health care described in subsection (a)(1)(A)(ii)â, (A) to undergo training on the process and requirements established under subsection (a) as part of training for the position for which the employee has been hired; and. 2. Section 1980A of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: â(l) (1) If a claim for benefits under this section is denied, the Secretary concerned shall provide to the member at the same time as the member is informed of such denial a description of the following: â(A) Each reason for that denial, including a description of all the information upon which the denial is based and a description of the applicable laws, regulations, or policies, with appropriate citations, and an explanation of how such laws, regulations, or policies affected the denial. (a) Study and report required.âNot later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shallâ, (1) complete a study on the Women Veteran Coordinator program of the Veterans Benefits Administration of the Department of Veterans Affairs; and. (b) Review of onboarding process.âNot later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congressâ, (1) a review of the onboarding process of individuals in health care positions described in subsection (a), including how long it takes to hire those individuals; and. (2) in whom chloracne, porphyria cutanea tarda, or acute or subacute peripheral neuropathy have manifested. 5170), the Secretary shall treat as an initial loan, as defined in clause (i), the next loan the Secretary guarantees or makes to such veteran under section 3710 or 3711, respectively, ifâ, â(I) such loan is guaranteed or made before the date that is three years after the date on which the dwelling was substantially damaged or destroyed; and, â(II) such loan is only for repairs or construction of the dwelling, as determined by the Secretary.â; and. (1) UPDATE REQUIRED.âNot less than once each year during the implementation period under paragraph (2), the Secretary shall submit to Congress an update regarding implementation of each element of the plan under subsection (b). â(7) The term âurban Indian organizationâ has the meaning given such term in section 4 of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act (25 U.S.C. 2002. (B) TECHNOLOGIES.âFor purposes of subparagraph (A), âtelecommunications technologiesâ include video conferencing, the internet, streaming media, and terrestrial and wireless communications. â(II) officials of a local or State government or the Federal Government; â(vii) the size, location, facilities, or equipment of the institution; â(viii) the availability, frequency, and appropriateness of the courses of education and programs to the employment objectives that the institution states the courses and programs are designed to meet; â(ix) the nature, age, and availability of the training devices or equipment of the institution and the appropriateness to the employment objectives that the institution states the courses and programs are designed to meet; â(x) the number, availability, and qualifications, including the training and experience, of the faculty and other personnel of the institution; â(xi) the availability of part-time employment or other forms of financial assistance; â(xii) the nature and availability of any tutorial or specialized instruction, guidance and counseling, or other supplementary assistance the institution will provide students before, during, or after the completion of a course of education; â(xiii) the nature or extent of any prerequisites established for enrollment in any course of education; â(xiv) the subject matter, content of the course of education, or any other fact related to the degree, diploma, certificate of completion, or any similar document that the student is to be, or is, awarded upon completion of the course of education; and. (7) The perception of such veterans of personal safety and comfort in inpatient, outpatient, and behavioral health facilities. Modernization of service-disabled veterans insurance. (1) INTERIM REPORT.âNot later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Veteransâ Affairs of the Senate and the Committee on Veteransâ Affairs of the House of Representatives a report detailingâ, (A) the current number and locations of all facilities of the Department offering the Parenting STAIR program; and. 1011.
